In bloom.

The potatoes are still in bloom and giving the Niseko region a bit of colour beside the vibrant green. Niseko Green Farm potatoes are still available and for sale now at the Sekka veggie stand.

Bi-coloured.

From today the veggie stand will be in front of J-Sekka again and filled with fresh organic produce straight of the land. These bi-couloured zucchini's will available too. It looks like they are dipped in some green paint, but it is the way they grow.

Start of the farmers market in Sapporo.

Niseko Green Farm is starting the farmers market season this Sunday in Sapporo, in Pivot. From 10am our organic produce will go on sale. Purple/ sweet/ lemon/ lime basil, coriander, zucchinis, cucumbers and potatoes.It is the start of the season. Come and say hello to the farmer and join us for a beer at the world cup finale at TK6 afterwards. Go Holland!

Coriandrum Sativum.

Coriander, pak chi, cilantro. To some it smells like stinkbugs and tastes like kerosene, to some it is the most beloved herb to eat. Niseko Green Farm has organically grown coriander available now.

Superdeformed.

Sometimes on your tomato plants some really big flowers appear, usually at they start of the cluster. These flowers suck up all the energy of the other flowers and distubs the devellopment process of the other tomatoes.

The fruit of these flowers will usually be deformed as well. So to safe the plant a lot of energy, i take these flowers away. In the home garden it can be fun to grow them some times as you get the weirdest and biggest tomatoes from them.

All strung up.

Growing your vine plants on a string makes it easy for maintenance and control. Just don't tie them up too tight, otherwise the wind will blow the plant with the roots out of the ground.
