Corn is just some kind of grass and when it grows actually just looks like it too. Just when it flowers it becomes a bit more elitairian. Since it is the most widely grown crop in the world now and almost all processed foods contain some traces of corn, you can say humans have become grazers as well as we munch on corn day in day out. Niseko Green Farm will have the über sweet Mirai corn available this year both organically and chemically grown. Give them both a try for a comparisson test.

The green house is almost done. We had the plastic almost on top of the the whole structure when it got blown away by the wind. It was a bit of a mission to get it back on and left us with some cuts here and there. Now we got 525 m2 for some heat loving veggies.

Only 0.19% of Japanese farmland is certified organic. Hopefully that will see a sharp rise in the near future.
